Born in Taza, Morocco, Moroccan-American photographer Jinane Ennasri travels around the world documenting the beauty of portraiture. Taking a photo-journalistic approach when capturing her subjects, finding candid moments both large and small, Jinane’s work has been featured in the likes of Harpers Bazaar Arabia and GQ Middle East.

Jinane photographs the corners and streets she is most drawn to, from ancient doors and colourful stairways to shop entrances and views of the sea. While exploring the city, she captures the blue and white colours that are so prominent throughout Tangier, finding visually interesting angles such as the ornate ceiling at the entrance of the mosque.

“Although I cherish many places, the one I love the most here in Tangier is the sea”, Jinane shares during the photography walk. Set on the Mediterranean sea just 13 miles from the coast of Spain, Tangier is filled with history and opportunities to photograph the old alongside the new.
