Years of Culture and Qatar Museums’ Public Art Launch JEDARIART 2025 at the Olympic Cycling Track
2025/10/20

18 October 2025 – Doha, Qatar: As part of the Qatar Argentina and Chile 2025 Year of Culture, Qatar Museums’ Public Art Department has announced the newest edition of JEDARIART, transforming the Qatar Olympic Cycling Track tunnels into a dynamic open-air gallery that celebrates indigenous cultures and Latin American visual storytelling. This marks the second annual JEDARIART activation along the cycling track, continuing the partnership that brings international artists from Years of Culture partner countries to activate one of Qatar’s most popular community spaces.
Launched by Qatar Museums’ Public Art Department in 2020 under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, JEDARIART brings art to public spaces across Qatar, promoting creativity, dialogue, and accessibility. From Doha’s Corniche to Souq Waqif and desert installations like Richard Serra’s East-West/West-East, the program continues to enrich Qatar’s landscape with art that reflects the nation’s diversity and openness to the world.
This year, renowned Chilean muralist Daniel Marceli and Argentinian artist Pablo Harymbat have been invited to transform the tunnels with vibrant murals inspired by Latin American traditions, mythologies, and shared human narratives, turning the tunnels into a moving gallery that blends art, sport, and community engagement.

About the Artists
- Daniel Marceli (instagram.com/daniel.marceli) is a Chilean muralist known for his large-scale works celebrating the cultural richness and spiritual heritage of indigenous communities across Latin America. His art often explores ancestral narratives and the relationship between people and nature.
- Pablo Harymbat (instagram.com/harymbat_pablo) is an Argentinian visual artist whose colourful, abstract compositions draw on urban landscapes and collective memory. His murals combine vibrant forms and storytelling elements that reflect Latin America’s diverse cultural identity.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Kuwari, YoC Advisor on Latin American Affairs and Qatar’s former Ambassador to Mexico, said: “JEDARIART continues to show how art connects people beyond language. Through this collaboration between Chile, Argentina, and Qatar, we’re creating spaces that celebrate diversity and highlight what brings us together. Inviting Latin American artists to one of Qatar’s most active public spaces reflects the spirit of the Qatar Argentina and Chile 2025 Year of Culture, where dialogue, creativity, and community come together.”
