Amazigh Hair Couture

Amazigh Hair Couture celebrates Moroccan Amazigh hair traditions as a living art form of memory, resistance, and identity. From braiding and adornment to ritual, the exhibition traces hair as a language of self-expression, continuity, and transformation—reclaimed from colonial lenses and reimagined by contemporary artists. 

Moving from archival material to present-day practice, the exhibition affirms hair as a medium of continuity and transformation. 

Presented as part of the legacy of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, the exhibition affirms enduring cultural partnerships and the power of artistic exchange.
