Third Floor, 207 Queens Quay West Toronto, Ontario M5J1A7 Canada
Football fandom has always been about more than the game. On 8 July 2026, Doha Debates brings that conversation to Toronto with Football Fandom: Community or Commodity?; a live town hall presented in partnership with the Qatar Canada and Mexico 2026 Year of Culture.
Bringing together students, recent graduates and expert guests, the event will explore how the changing face of football club ownership is reshaping fan identity, team loyalty and the global talent economy. Timed to coincide with a summer of football across Canada, it offers a sharp and timely look at the relationship between sport, culture and community.
The event takes place at the Terminal Theatre, Queens Quay Terminal, Third Floor, 207 Queens Quay West, Toronto, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm EDT. Entry is free, but tickets are required, and attendance is limited to those aged 15 and above.
For anyone spending July in Canada, or those with friends and family travelling to Toronto for the World Cup matches, this is an evening that simply must be on the itinerary. Secure your tickets today, and share the invitation with your network so they do not miss out on a truly engaging live cultural experience.
