10th Anniversary Ceremony VIP Event - By Invitation Only

The National Museum of Qatar, Doha

The Years of Culture 10th anniversary celebrations will begin with an invitation-only evening, welcoming all ambassadors of partner nations from the past 10 years, along with ambassadors from across MENASA and other esteemed guests. 

Guests will enjoy dinner, speeches and entertainment in the breathtaking setting of the National Museum of Qatar, culminating in the world premiere of Desert Rose by composer Malek Jandali, performed live by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. A public event will take place the following day (31st October).

World Premiere

The Desert Rose by Malek Jandali

Malek Jandali, a Syrian American composer has created an album in honour of the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture, as part of the legacy between the two countries.

The performance on 30th October to mark the 10th Anniversary of Years of Culture will be the Desert Rose world premiere, performed by Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by grammy nominated Alastair Willis.

10th Anniversary

A decade goes by quickly when you’re greeting the world.

This is the 10th Year of Culture. So many new ideas and collaborations have been created over the past decade from Qatar-Japan in 2012 until now, when for the first time, we're partnering with an entire region - MENASA. Here’s to many more years of connecting with old friends and friends to be.
