Qatari Programme at The International Festival of Muslim Cinema

Kazan, Russia

As part of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture, directors from Qatar showed their films at The International Festival of Muslim Cinema, traditionally held in Kazan, Russia and organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The talented filmmakers took to the floor during the event to share their work with Russian spectators and discuss the specificity of local cinema.

The movies showcased as part of the Qatari Programme at The International Festival of Muslim Cinema were:

  • “Voices from the Urbanscape” by Shaima Al-Tamimi & Mariam Salim
  • “I Have Been Watching You All Along” by Rawda Al-Thani
  • “Walls” by Nibu Vasudevan
  • “Embodiment” by Khalifa Al-Marri
  • “Treasures of the Past” by Rawan Al-Nassiri & Nada Bedair
  • “1001 Days” by Aisha Al-Jaidah entitled
  • “Our Time Is Running Out” by Meriem Mesraoua
