Gastronomic Pop-Up Project

During the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture, a unique pop-up project from Qatar took place as part of Afisha Picnic, a major summer music festival in Russia.
The pop-up project gave guests the chance to taste classical and contemporary variations of Qatar’s national cuisine. Visiting chefs from Qatar treated local visitors to dishes from some of. Doha’s top restaurants and famous street food projects, with meals of traditional home-made Arabic cuisine and food by the popular Torba Farmers Market pop-up projects.
There was also a dedicated MEET QATAR pavilion selling artisanal wares from Doha, accompanied by an ethnic music session by The Ensemble Suffiks band to recreate the special atmosphere of an Arabic market.
