Batta Exhibition
W Hotel, Doha
As part of the Qatar-Turkey 2015 Year of Culture, the Batta Exhibition at the W Hotel in Doha showcased the work of graphic designer Hessa Al Ali, designer of the Qatar-Turkey 2015 Year of Culture logo and branding.
The Qatari Card Series took place during the Art for Tomorrow 2015 conference organised by the International New York Times, opened by Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
Hessa Al Ali is a Qatari Designer and graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, with a degree in Graphic Design. These playing cards are a symbolic expression of Qatari culture. Every pattern, costume, and object is inspired and carefully selected from everyday life in Qatar.
